How this site works

Esport Me is an automated sports publication. We monitor a set of published sports feeds for developments, and most articles on this site are then written as original editorial copy from that sourced information; a few are original analysis of primary documents. We do not republish, syndicate or re-post other outlets' articles.

Drafting is automated and produced under a per-publication editorial brief that sets this title's voice, its subject range and its article length. A draft written from other outlets' reporting is refused if it copies their prose, or if a quotation in it does not appear word for word in that reporting. Before automatic publication, an article written from a single outlet's report, among other things, is held back for an editor. These checks are automated and limited, and cannot verify every statement of fact, which is why corrections matter. How we work sets out the rules, their limits and what is held back for an editor.

We do not publish a per-article list of the outlets an article was written from; an original analysis cites its documents in the text. Ask us about a particular article and we will tell you what it was written from.

Images

An article leads with one of two kinds of picture, and says which. A photograph is used under an open licence, with the photographer, the licence and a link to the original under “Photo credits” at the foot of the article. Where no suitable licensed photograph exists, the article carries an illustration we generate ourselves, captioned “AI-generated illustration”: it illustrates the subject and is not a photograph of the event. Photographs are not taken automatically from the outlets we source from.
