HLTV launches Advanced stats tab with new performance visualisations
HLTV has rolled out a new Advanced tab on CS2 player profiles, replacing the old Individual section with six data visualisations covering output, dueling and round-by-round swing.

HLTV has introduced a new stats page across all CS2 player profiles, giving fans and analysts a dedicated space to examine individual performance in greater depth, according to the outlet.
The new page sits in a tab called Advanced, found directly after the Overview section on any player's stats profile. It replaces the previous Individual tab and forms part of HLTV's wider push to expand its performance-based metrics, following earlier work on its style-based Attributes system.
The tab is built around six visualisations: a Summary radar, a Dueling section, an Impact section, a Round to Round density chart, a Map to Map swarm plot, and an Against the Field scatterplot comparing players on round swing and eco swing.
Users can set a side filter and choose a comparison point, with the default set to the player's assigned role. On Danil "donk" Kryshkovets's profile, for example, all figures are benchmarked against the average rifler. A filter bar also allows selection by event type, opponent rank or a specific group of maps, and a red triangle appears when the sample size is small enough that the figures may be unreliable.
The Summary radar plots nine metrics split into three clockwise groups: Output (Swing Added, eKPR, eADR), Round-to-Round Consistency (Explosive Rounds, Impact Rounds, eKAST) and Differentials (Net Kills, Eco Swing, Round Swing), with Rating 3.0 placed at the top. A small circle on the chart indicates weak performance relative to a player's role, while a larger one reflects a strong showing; the inner bound represents the second percentile and the outer bound the 98th, with a triangle shown when a player exceeds that ceiling.
HLTV noted that some players, such as Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, fill the entire radar, while others reveal more about their playing style. Drin "makazze" Shaqiri's chart skews towards the output side because he is a high-volume player who does not prioritise survival, whereas Yuri "yuurih" Santos skews towards consistency because he enters fewer duels but performs well in the ones he does take. A carousel of five players is used to illustrate the radar's range, including the lows shown on Finn "karrigan" Andersen's profile.
Clicking into the comparison tool initially surfaces the ten players most stylistically similar to the selected player, drawn from the existing doppelganger feature on the Overview tab. HLTV advises switching the comparison setting to 'everyone' when comparing players across different roles.
The Dueling section focuses on raw firepower by measuring whether a player is earning as many kills as their team's investment in them would suggest. This relies on eco-adjustment, which HLTV calculates using duel win percentages — for instance, an AWP wins 60.7% of direct duels against a rifle on the CT side. Eco-adjusted kills are then scaled so their average matches raw kills per round, though the Advanced tab shows the underlying figures before that transformation.
By comparing a player's equipment value against their opponent's, HLTV derives an economically expected duel win rate, which rises above 50% for AWPers or star riflers and falls below it for players frequently using SMGs or caught on eco. The gap between that expected rate and a player's actual duel win rate is labelled Eco Swing, a figure HLTV says correlates closely with eco-adjusted net kills. It appears as the first bar on the page, styled in the same blue used in HLTV's Attributes system, with green, orange and red shading used throughout the performance stats to denote good, average and poor results respectively.
The tab also displays a player's kills, damage and deaths against their economically expected totals, alongside a marker indicating their assigned role.
