MOUZ sweep BETBOOM to reach IEM Beijing grand final
MOUZ remain unbeaten on maps in Beijing after a 2-0 win over BETBOOM sets up a grand final against The MongolZ.

MOUZ have reached the grand final of IEM Beijing without dropping a single map, beating BETBOOM 2-0 in the upper bracket to confirm their place in the title match, according to HLTV.
The scoreline read 13-7 on Ancient and 13-8 on Mirage, a comfortable margin that leaves MOUZ facing The MongolZ for the trophy.
BETBOOM took a gamble in the veto by letting the first two maps repeat the exact picks they had already lost to MOUZ in the group stage. HLTV reported the decision did not pay off, compounded by the absence of some of BETBOOM's usual key players.
Ancient began badly for MOUZ, with Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov and Pavel "S1ren" Ogloblin driving BETBOOM to an early 4-0 lead through a fast-paced offensive start. Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen called a timeout to reset his side, and MOUZ responded by disrupting BETBOOM's attacks as a unit, with Dorian "xertioN" Berman's fragging helping MOUZ take the lead by half-time. The second half saw BETBOOM offer little beyond a handful of clutch rounds as MOUZ closed out the map.
Mirage was tighter early on. MOUZ opened with a run of successful B-site hits before Boombl4 and Aleksandr "zorte" Zagodyrenko found form to pull BETBOOM back into the map. BETBOOM leaned on aggressive defence while MOUZ countered with structured set executes, leaving the score level at the break.
Oldřich "PR" Nový then shut down BETBOOM's B rush with four USP headshots at the start of the second half, a moment HLTV described as setting the tone for the rest of the map. MOUZ never relinquished control from there, closing out the series 2-0.
BETBOOM's run to the upper-bracket final had included eliminating Team Liquid in the lower-bracket final, a tighter contest reported separately by Dust2.us. Liquid had been sent to the lower bracket after a loss to PARIVISION, then beat TYLOO 2-0 before meeting BETBOOM.
In that series, BETBOOM took Anubis 13-5 after a mid-map swing turned a 1-3 deficit into a 7-5 half-time lead. Liquid hit back on Nuke, overturning a 9-3 deficit to win 13-11 and force a decider. BETBOOM then recovered from a 2-5 start on Mirage, built a 10-6 lead, and held off a late Liquid surge to close the map 13-11 and the series 2-1.
That result put Liquid out of IEM Beijing in 7th-8th place, with Dust2.us noting their next event is the PGL Major Singapore, due to begin on 24 November.
For BETBOOM, the win over Liquid proved only a staging post. Against a MOUZ side HLTV described as playing with the confidence of an unbeaten run through the event, the Russian team could not replicate that resilience, leaving MOUZ to prepare for the grand final against The MongolZ.
