Valorant 13.09 adds Hush agent and reworks buff system
Riot Games has released duelist Hush in the Valorant 13.09 update, alongside a clearer Haste and Snapshot buff system, Clove balance changes and a Warden recoil buff.

Valorant's 13.09 update has gone live with Hush, the game's newest agent, now available to all players, according to Dexerto Valorant.
Riot Games first revealed Hush during Valorant Champions on 18 October, but access was restricted until this patch. Dexerto reported it took part in early testing of the character ahead of release.
Hush is a telekinetic duelist from Guangdong, China, and becomes the ninth agent in that role. Her kit includes Displacement, which pulls and concuses players caught near its explosion, and Flashbulb, a redirectable flash. Her signature ability, Flow, lets her create an anchor and briefly levitate before propelling towards it, while her ultimate, Suspension, sends out a projectile that levitates anyone caught in its detonation.
Beyond the new agent, Riot has overhauled how buffs are labelled and displayed. Movement speed boosts are now officially termed Haste, separating them from Combat Stim buffs, which affect fire rate, equip speed, reload speed and recovery speed. The still-image reveal effect from abilities such as Cypher's Spycam has been named Snapshot.
Riot said the change “should add clarity to when you receive or refresh a Combat Stim buff, a Haste buff, or both,” according to the patch notes cited by Dexerto Valorant.
Brimstone's Stim Beacon, Clove's Pick-me-up, Miks' Harmonize, Neon's High Gear and Overdrive, and Waylay's Convergent Paths effect are all now categorised under the new Haste label, with Waylay's ability renamed outright since it shares identical effects.
Clove has also been rebalanced after Riot identified inconsistencies with other agents offering similar effects. Pick-me-up's bonus movement speed has been reduced from 15% to 10%, bringing it in line with comparable abilities elsewhere in the roster.
Clove's Not Dead Yet has also changed. Killing Clove after she activates the ability will now grant the player who secures the kill both an ultimate point and a signature ability refresh point.
Jett has received a smaller adjustment, with her passive removed from the Buy Menu so it matches how other non-purchaseable passives are presented in-game.
The Warden has been buffed through recoil changes. Riot said recoil has been “smoothed out” for the weapon's first few bullets, while spread on subsequent shots has been reduced, making the scoped weapon more consistent to control.
Riot has also updated ability descriptions and tooltips across the game for clarity, and added passive descriptions to agents such as Neon where they were previously missing from in-game text. The redesigned Ability Description Tooltip now carries baseline details including agent, role and keybinds, and it will surface at moments Riot considers relevant, such as when a player tries out a new agent for the first time in the Range.
