100 Thieves have booked their place in the playoffs of FiReSPORTS LAST CHANCE after topping Group A at the Argentine LAN without losing a map, according to Dust2.us.

The European roster touched down in Argentina two weeks after finishing fourth at Stake Pulse Beat III on 17th October, with the tournament representing one of their last routes to the PGL Major Singapore.

Per Dust2.us, Finn "Mischief" Farrer indicated that winning LAST CHANCE is effectively the only path left for the side, with 15 of the 18 European Major slots already locked in according to HLTV's tracking.

100 Thieves opened their campaign with a comfortable Bo3 victory over a team of Russian expats based in Argentina who were reportedly competing in the event for fun, taking Mirage 13-1 and Dust2 13-2 with little resistance offered.

Their second match proved far more competitive, pitting them against Bounty Hunters, a Brazilian side ranked 94th on the global VRS.

On the opening map, Ancient, 100 Thieves won their CT-side pistol and the following round before Bounty Hunters hit back with three straight. The Europeans then reeled off six of the next seven rounds to close the half 8-4.

Bounty Hunters took the pistol on the T-side switch, but 100 Thieves won the conversion round and three more to reach match point. The Brazilians then rattled off six consecutive rounds to cut the deficit to one before 100 Thieves closed out round 24 to seal Ancient 13-11.

Dust2 began in Bounty Hunters' favour as they won their CT pistol and the conversion round for an early lead. 100 Thieves responded by winning eight of their next nine rounds on the T-side to move 8-3 ahead, with Bounty Hunters avoiding a blowout by taking round 12 to leave the score 8-4 at the break.

100 Thieves then won both the pistol and conversion rounds to open the second half and controlled the remainder of the map, taking three of the next five rounds to finish Dust2 13-6 and secure the series.

Alex "poiii" Nyholm Sundgren was the standout performer across the two maps against Bounty Hunters, finishing with a 95.6 ADR and a 1.41 rating.

100 Thieves now turn their attention to the LAST CHANCE playoffs, which are scheduled to begin on 31st October.
