Riot Games has confirmed that K/DA will perform at the League of Legends Worlds 2026 Opening Ceremony on 14 November at the Barclays Center in New York, according to Esports.gg News.

The performance will involve IYEON and SOYEON of i-dle voicing Ahri and Akali respectively, with Sophie Powers and Mimi Webb taking on Evelynn and Kai'Sa.

The announcement followed the release of K/DA's new track and music video FIRESTARTER, which Esports.gg News reported had reached 9.2 million views globally within its first 24 hours.

The video was produced by Fortiche Production, the studio behind Arcane. Fortiche director Marietta Ren said: "Bringing K/DA back was a joy for the whole artistic team." She added that the team "wanted their return to feel more mature and fashion-forward," describing the concept as K/DA "setting the runway on fire, where haute couture meets raw, fiery energy as the group steps confidently into a new era."

Alongside the Opening Ceremony reveal, Riot Games also unveiled K/DA's new FIRESTARTER EP, which features three further tracks: WATCH ME, NEVER GOING BACK and GIRLS.

Maria Egan, Riot Games' global head of music and events, said: "With the FIRESTARTER EP, we wanted to respect what made people fall in love with K/DA while giving Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa the space to evolve as artists after all this time."

Egan added: "This is K/DA stepping confidently into their next chapter, with a new look, attitude and a diverse group of songs to showcase their individual journeys. We're excited for players and fans to experience everything that comes with this creative evolution."

The GIRLS track marks the return of DJ Sona to a K/DA release for the first time since 2015.

All four new songs are now available on major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, iTunes and Amazon Music.

K/DA's back catalogue stretches from POP/STARS in 2018 through THE BADDEST, MORE, VILLAIN, DRUM GO DUM and I'LL SHOW YOU in 2020, with FIRESTARTER, WATCH ME, NEVER GOING BACK and GIRLS now joining the group's discography for 2026.

The Opening Ceremony performance will form part of the build-up to the Worlds 2026 knockout stages, with the Barclays Center hosting the show on 14 November.
